Accessibility statement

Where this site stands on accessibility, what's still unfinished, and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you.

Statement date: reviewed 2026 · Last reviewed: 2026

1. Our commitment

Project Research LLC wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard only, zoom the page, or rely on other assistive technology. We're working through accessibility issues page by page rather than covering them up with an add-on tool. We don't use an accessibility overlay or widget — the fixes go directly into the site's own HTML and CSS.

2. Conformance status

Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA (the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by the W3C), plus two Level AA criteria from the newer WCAG 2.2 (Focus Not Obscured, and Target Size Minimum).

This site partially conforms with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conforms" means some parts of the content don't yet fully meet the standard. We have not completed a full, independent audit, and we are not claiming full or certified compliance. See "Known limitations" below for specifics.

3. Compatibility

We have not yet completed formal testing with real assistive technology (screen readers, voice control, switch devices). The fixes on this site so far come from a code-level review against WCAG success criteria — real testing with screen reader and browser combinations (for example, NVDA with Firefox, VoiceOver with Safari, JAWS with Chrome) has not yet been performed. This is listed as a known limitation below with a target date.

The site is built with standard HTML and CSS and does not require JavaScript to read its content. It has been checked against current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) for layout and basic functionality, but not yet against older or less common browsers.

4. Technical specifications

Accessibility on this site relies on: HTML5 semantic elements (headings, lists, landmarks, form labels); CSS for layout, color and focus styling; a small amount of vanilla JavaScript for the mobile menu, scroll effects and the contact form (none of it required to read the page's content); and WAI-ARIA attributes used only where native HTML doesn't already cover the need (for example aria-expanded on the mobile menu button, aria-live on status messages).

5. Known limitations

We're tracking specific, real gaps rather than describing the site as finished. As of this statement:

  • No assistive-technology testing yet. Fixes so far are based on code review against WCAG success criteria, not hands-on testing with a screen reader or other AT. Target: within 90 days of this statement.
  • Some decorative background elements (the hero animation, the status banner) sit over dynamic or video content, so their text contrast can't be fully verified by static calculation alone. Target: manual visual review within 60 days.
  • Exact rendered tap-target sizes (WCAG 2.2 Target Size Minimum) have been checked against the stylesheet's declared padding, but not confirmed pixel-by-pixel in a real browser at various zoom levels. Target: manual review within 60 days.
  • Some technical and reference pages (the SilverArrow White Paper, and the product/version details on the SilverArrow beta-testing page) are written for a security-literate audience and have intentionally not been rewritten to a general reading level, since simplifying them would remove technical precision the page exists to provide.
  • Older archived pages or PDFs, if any are added in the future, may not meet the same standard as pages built after this statement.

7. Assessment approach

This statement is based on a self-evaluation — a manual code review against WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria, performed by Project Research LLC with AI assistance (see our AI disclosure). It has not been reviewed by an independent, third-party accessibility auditor.
