Getting Started with SilverArrow

SilverArrow is a privacy tool made by Project Research LLC. It quietly blocks the tracking that follows you around the internet — no settings to learn, no jargon to understand. This guide assumes you've never touched a line of code and don't need to.

1. What SilverArrow actually does for you

Every time you visit a website, invisible pieces of code try to follow you: they remember who you are, watch what you click, and build a profile of you over time — sometimes even after you clear your history. SilverArrow blocks three of the most common ways this happens:

• Tracking link cleanup. Links you click (especially ones shared on social media or in emails) often have extra text tacked onto the end that identifies you specifically and reports back where you came from. SilverArrow strips that part out automatically, so clicking a link doesn't hand over your identity along with it.
• "Super-cookie" blocking. Normal cookies go away when you clear your browser history. Super-cookies are a sneakier version designed to survive that — SilverArrow shuts them down so a cleared history actually means a clean slate.
• Fingerprint defense. Even without cookies, a website can often recognize your device by its unique technical "fingerprint" (screen size, fonts installed, and dozens of other small details combined). SilverArrow interferes with this so you blend in with everyone else instead of standing out as a single trackable device.

None of this requires you to create an account, log in, or configure anything. It's designed to protect you and your kids by simply being turned on.

2. Installing SilverArrow

Depending on what you use to browse the internet, pick the matching option:

Visit silverarrowapp.com and choose the version that matches your device. Follow the on-screen install prompts the same way you would for any other app — there's no special setup step beyond that.

3. Using it day to day

There isn't a "using it" step — that's the point. Once installed:

1. Browse normally. SilverArrow works in the background on every page you visit.
2. You don't need to turn anything on or off, approve pop-ups, or check a dashboard.
3. If a specific website looks broken after installing (rare, but possible with any blocking tool), you can pause SilverArrow for that one site from the extension icon in your browser toolbar.

4. For parents

SilverArrow was built with children specifically in mind — kids are frequently the least protected and most heavily tracked group online, simply because most privacy tools assume a technical adult user. With SilverArrow installed on a child's device:

• Tracking links they click from friends, games or social apps get cleaned automatically.
• Advertisers have a harder time building a long-term profile of your child across different sites and visits.
• There's nothing for a child to misconfigure — it works the same whether or not they understand what it's doing.

5. What SilverArrow does not do

To set expectations clearly:

• It is not a parental content filter — it doesn't block specific websites or content categories.
• It is not antivirus software.
• It does not require or create a Project Research LLC account, and it does not collect your browsing history to send back to us.
